We are looking for the Best User Application Stories about Telepresence and HD Videoconferencing. We will publish a selection of the stories and they will be archived and available on our website as a guide to other users and potential users. Our website is accessed by over 10,000 readers each week!
The competition is open to users, vendors and system integrators of TP & VC products. We will make a prestigious Editor’s Award for the Best Users Application stories from each of the following regions:
• North America (United States and Canada)
• Western Europe
• Eastern Europe and Russia
• Asia Pacific (excluding China and India)
• China and India
• Central and South America
• Middle East and North Africa (Arabic speaking countries)
• Africa South of the Sahara
Entry Requirements:
600-700 words in English – our language of publication
(If an existing reference document or press release longer than this exists you may submit it, but we will edit it down to 600 words and this is what we will judge / publish).
The project covered must have been completed between 01 Jan 2010 and 31 March 2011. We are holding the competition open for entries received up to and including 23rd September 2011, winners will be announced in November 2011
You may submit multiple stories – each as a separate document
Points to be covered:
1. The name of the organisation or enterprise, a description of their business, and how many separate sites (eg hospital or university departments) or endpoints are covered by the project.
2. The challenges and issues the organisation expected to be addressed by TP/VC – what problems needed to be solved?
3. The video network infrastructures and endpoints that were installed and name of equipment vendor(s) and system integrators
4. Who are the key users of TP/VC and what persuaded them to adopt its use
5. The benefits achieved by the project, with some measurement, eg time and cost saved in travel, environmental impact, evidence of speedier and improved decision making etc
6. Brief quotations of appreciation from key user(s)
7. What plans for further development of this system over the next five years – eg new users or new uses.
8. Final comment from the user standpoint.
