VSEE OFFERS HD VC OVER 4G

31st August 2011:

VSee™, a leading provider of video collaboration services,  has announced that it is the first video solution provider to offer High-Definition Multicamera telepresence over a single 4G wireless connection.

VSee says that unlike other providers, its solution requires no special hardware. All that is needed is a PC and off-the-shelf webcams, with no need to spend $250,000 per room and pay for massive infrastructure upgrades. The VSee network sensing approach allows up to 4 HD videos to be sent and up to 8 HD videos to be received over a single Verizon 4G wireless device. In addition to HD telepresence, VSee also offers a full suite of collaboration tools that allows people to get work done just as though they are sitting side-by-side.

“VSee's economical use of bandwidth, robust security, low cost and 4G telepresence makes the $250K Cisco Telepresence impractical for our business. VSee meets and exceeds our needs both in the office and in the field.” says Dan Engle, CEO of AccessAgility.

Milton Chen, the CEO of VSee, notes, “We created VSee with the goal of eliminating mandatory commutes to work. Our practical telepresence solution comes at a fraction of the cost of Cisco and offers a sensible alternative to their substantial infrastructure requirements.”

Founded  by a group of Stanford students’ attempt to eliminate the infamous congestion on freeway 101 and 85 in Silicon Valley, the company soon adopted a mission to eliminate the need to commute by making remote work “work.” VSee is a secure peer-to-peer video collaboration tool that makes remote work less lonely and more productive. It allows instant multi-party videochat, application-share and file transfer in one simple tool that works on any network.  The company states “Until companies like Cisco, Apple, and Google set their workers free from the shackles of commuting, VSee will not rest.”

Backed by Salesforce.com and In-Q-Tel, VSee serves more than 6000 enterprises including Shell, Intel, NASA, Yahoo, NTT Data, Saudi Aramco, Primerica, Navy SEALs and the U.S.National Science Foundation, with users ranging from Hillary Clinton to Angelina Jolie to the rock band Linkin Park
