Blue Jeans has released it’s August updates, encompassing:

This release now includes desktop sharing from the browser while in a meeting. Participants can initiate the screen sharing from the browser option by clicking the Share icon in the lower left tray.
Browser Updates & In-Meeting Experience Improvements
The following improvements have been made to the browser option:
Auto-update: the plug-in will auto update and no longer require a future download when software updates are available
Meeting and host’s details are now displayed in the Waiting Room
A quality feedback form is now displayed when disconnecting from a call on the browser
Active Speaker indication is now available
Linkedin Integration
Blue Jeans has implemented integration with Linkedin for Sign-up, Log-in and to View a meeting participants’ Linkedin profile from the in-meeting participant list. This feature simplifies the sign-up and log-in process by allowing users to easily create an account and login to Blue Jeans.
Cisco TelePresence Support
This release allows Cisco TelePresence systems to be configured to dial directly into the Blue Jeans service using a dial in number. See the following document entitled Cisco TelePresence Configuration Guide for details on how to configure your TelePresence systems to work with Blue Jeans.
Group Administrators can now enable the Cisco TelePresence Video Connection type from the Group Admin section of the Blue Jeans web application.
Microsoft Lync Presence Support
This release improves the integration between the Lync client and Blue Jeans to function with more familiarity from within the Lync environment.
When a user selects to join a meeting from the Lync option on the Connect tab in the Blue Jeans web application they will see presence status in the IM window. Previous versions of Blue Jeans showed Blue Jeans as “Offline” which is counterintuitive to the way Lync users are accustomed to connecting within the Lync environment.
Outlook Add-in General Availability (GA)
The Blue Jeans Outlook Add-in is now out of beta and in GA. This release will also allow Outlook Add-in users to login to Blue Jeans with SSO if it’s been implemented. For those who have not been part of the Outlook beta, this feature allows Outlook users to schedule Blue Jeans meetings from Outlook. The Add-in will install a Blue Jeans “button” within the user’s Outlook toolbar. For more information see our Outlook page.
Scheduling Improvements – Enhanced Recurring Meetings
This release greatly enhances our scheduling capabilities by giving users more options and flexibility when scheduling meetings on a monthly, weekly and daily basis.
Users can now schedule:
Monthly: by specific date, week day, first/second/third/fourth/last day of month
Weekly: pick the day and how often (every “x” weeks)
Daily: pick the daily interval value (every “3” days)
SSO General Availability (GA)
This release makes our SSO feature now generally available to customers. Single Sign-On is considered a fundamental feature for the deployment of any enterprise application or service that requires maintaining a user account. This release will support the Outlook Plug-in, IdP initiated log-in and enhanced IdP configuration.
Google Video Chat General Availability (GA)
With this release, Google Video Chat is out of beta and now GA. While it’s always been available to users, we have not charged for the minutes consumed by Google Video Chat users in a call. With this release, we will begin charging for all Google Video Chat participant minutes on a call (for applicable plans). For more details on using Google Video Chat, view our guide.
