AGT Announces First Direct Dial B2B Mobile Video Connection for Microsoft Lync

Applied Global Technologies (AGT), the managed services and Unified Communications technology provider for interactive and mobile video conferencing solutions, has announced the industry’s first direct dial B2B mobile video connection for Microsoft Lync that does not require enterprise federation. Microsoft Lync integrates with AGT’s EncoreB2B Platform, a mobile video platform that optimizes Cisco, Polycom and Compunetix infrastructure and enables secure connectivity across networks. With the added Microsoft Lync integration, Lync users can now receive direct dial video calls at their desks from mobile devices located on any network.

“By integrating Microsoft Lync to EncoreB2B, we extend our seamless business-to-business capabilities to the thousands of enterprises and organizations adopting Microsoft Lync,” states Bob Wood, COO of Applied Global Technologies. “As a result, we instantly provide enterprises with a business-to-business solution that brings the benefits of mobility right to the desktop.”

Microsoft Lync integration complements EncoreB2B’s exclusive Mobile Pathway Protocol, the industry’s only firewall traversal that does not require special firewall devices, system registration or IT configuration. By leveraging already open and secure standard web ports, Mobile Pathway enables secure connectivity and interoperability between mobile devices, HD video systems and Microsoft Lync clients.

By incorporating Microsoft Lync, EncoreB2B continues to support the mobile workforce. By downloading EncoreB2B’s free mobile video app, mobile device users can connect with Lync clients in the business-to-business environment. In return, desktop users can effectively communicate with remote employees, the organization’s supply chain and target sales markets.

“Enterprises are trying to figure out how to translate the potential of mobility to actual business value. We are confident that will start with effectively integrating business-to-business video communications using tools like tablets and Lync,” states Wood.
