Fuzbox sparks video collaboration for Mac

FuzeBox, has announced Fuze for Mac, OS X’s first native real-time visual collaboration app. By utilizing the power of the updated Retina displays in Apple’s newest lineup, Fuze for Mac supports options that were previously unheard of, such as playing full 1080p video content while displaying up to 12 concurrent high definition videoconferencing streams. Fuze for Mac brings a smooth native app to OS X for collaborative mobile power users looking to go beyond screen sharing in their online meetings.

“We use FuzeBox to reach employees across several offices for our company-wide all hands meetings,” said Steve Latour, Director of IT at Evernote. “The service offers us exceptionally high quality audio and video streaming and more simultaneous users at competitive pricing. We’re very happy as FuzeBox clients.”

By bringing a native app to market, FuzeBox is targeting the growing base of professionals and executives who have migrated to the Mac for handling their day-to-day business. However the company has still stayed true to its “any device, anytime, anywhere” strategy by allowing users to collaborate with partners around the world, regardless of what device they are using.

FuzeBox CEO, Jeff Cavins, describes the move to a native application, “Today’s mobile workforce expects the tools they use on a daily basis to just work; they want no stuttering, no buffering, and an intuitive interface. Apple has developed the world’s most functional and powerful computers in the form of Mac with OS X. We wanted to harness the power of Apple’s work and bring to market the world’s first real time, visual collaboration product that leverages the power of both the hardware and the OS. This is what we have delivered with Fuze for Mac – a product that delivers seamless, face-to-face discussion and sharing of content at the highest possible resolutions.”
In addition to the retina display and high definition video support, the new Fuze for Mac brings to market new features, including:

Exportable, downloadable, and editable meetings in the .mp4 format
Drag-and-drop cloud content upload and storage
Share a single application window rather than your entire desktop
